Silicone mould-making compound

Our mould-making compound made of silicone is very easy to apply and quickly becomes hard. It allows you to build reusable moulds with very high reproduction accuracy.

The product is an addition curing casting silicone, consisting of two components which are mixed in the ratio of 1:1. As one component is blue and the other yellow, simply stir during preparing until everything is uniformly green.

For a silicone the material is extremely runny, which reduces the risk of unwanted air pockets. By adding our special cellulose fibres the material can be modified so that it can be smoothed over vertical walls without running down the surface.

The small double container pack contains 1 kg and the large double container pack contains 5 kg. The amount of 1 kg is sufficient for a volume of 0.75 litres.

Attention: When working with addition-curing silicone rubbers, make sure that clean and dry containers are used. The surface of the object to be moulded should also be as dry and free of impurities as possible. Certain substances can prevent or slow down the curing of addition-curing silicone. These include condensation-curing silicones, organic rubbers, plasticizers, amines, heavy metals and sulphur-containing kneading compounds. At the contact surfaces between addition-curing silicone and the substances mentioned, vulcanization problems then occur, which render the mould and often also the model unusable. In case of doubt it is strongly recommended to check the material compatibility in a small preliminary test.
