Our type Q concrete thickener is a combination of active ingredients especially optimized for the production of putty. The recommended dose is about 0.1 to 0.5% of the amount of concrete. This corresponds to a maximum of 125 gram for a 25 kg bag of concrete.
We recommend this to reduce the flowability of our BASIL® floor resurfacer so much that the concrete is stable and easily smoothed over with a trowel for the design of vertical surfaces. It is important in this type of application to thoroughly prepare the concrete material to be thickened first, without the addition of the thickener, until it is flowable. Only then should the thickener be added.
