GRISU® refractory mortar, beige brown

Unlike normal concrete GRISU® is refractory. The material can withstand temperatures of over 1250°C and is suitable for processing in a build-up technique / modelling technique. With GRISU® refractory mortar you can easily build yourself a firebowl or a concrete kiln. Aside for the pizza oven in the garden, the mortar can be used for chimney repair, or the design of refractory moulds for metal and other fire-resistant objects.

For reinforcement, we recommend the use of our basalt fibres. When using the build-up technique you can use cement slurry as a contact bridge from our CARO WHITE refractory cement.

GRISU® is beige/brown and can be coloured with our pigments of the types 017 (green), 130 (red), 219 (white) and 502 (blue). The recommended maximum dose is 15 g pigments per kg dry matter. The concrete solidifies in about 30 to 90 minutes depending on ambient temperature and hardens within 1 to 2 days. The processing time can be significantly shortened when using pigments.
