DURIGID refractory aggregate

DURIGID is a man-made, extremely hard and refractory aggregate for special concrete applications. It is used for refractory concrete (up to 1800 °C) and for high-strength concrete, which requires particularly high compressive strength, abrasion resistance or a high modulus of elasticity. In conjunction with our UHPC special cement TEGNO® (Dyckerhoff Nanodur Compound) special concrete can be produced with an extremely high modulus of elasticity, as shown in a study by the Wilhelm Dyckerhoff Institute. With this new Nanodur concrete E80, Dyckerhoff GmbH won the Ulm BetonTage (Concrete Congress) 2016 Innovation Award of the concrete components supply industry in 2016 in the category Concrete Technology. Nanodur concrete E80 has a modulus of elasticity of more than 80,000 N/mm² and is thus more deformation-resistant and rigid than aluminium. It is particularly suitable for the production of heavily loaded and stressed precast elements.
