TFC Troll Factory silicone rubber type 12 extra robust

TFC Silicone Rubber Type 12 is a medium-hard addition-curing silicone that is very suitable for demanding, elastic and hard-wearing moulds with pronounced undercuts. This material can be used to produce single or multi-part moulds and can be used for casting original models from concrete, clay, wood, glass, metal, plastic, wax or ceramic casting compounds.

TFC Silicone Rubber Type 12 is particularly resistant to certain types of casting resins. Thanks to its extremely good mechanical properties, the moulds made from it are very flexible and resistant to breakage and tearing.

In addition to the excellent casting resins from the Moertelshop, all water-based casting materials such as Stewalin, Plastalin Super, Keraflott, Keramin, Alabit, modelling and modelling plaster and casting clay can also be cast in the moulds produced. Soap moulding compounds (soap glycerine), waxes for the production of candles and casting resins (resin) are also possible when using our suitable release agents and additives.

The two components are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:1. The mixture has very good fluidity and is therefore easy to pour. The mould produced in this way has a high degree of rigidity and flexibility, a very high level of detail in the reproduction and excellent non-stick properties, which make it easier to remove the models from the mould.

Attention: When working with addition-curing silicone rubbers, make sure to use clean and dry containers. The surface of the object to be moulded should also be as dry and free of impurities as possible. Certain substances can prevent or slow down the curing of addition-curing silicone. These include condensation-curing silicones, organic rubbers, plasticisers, amines, heavy metals and sulphur-containing kneading compounds. At the contact surfaces between the addition-curing silicone and the above-mentioned substances, vulcanisation disorders occur, which render the mould and often also the model unusable. In case of doubt, it is strongly recommended to check the material compatibility in a small preliminary test.
