Our ultra-economical fibre basalt rods in a 6-pack are the smart alternative to reinforcing steel. They are ideal as additional reinforcement in kitchen worktops with recesses where special load concentrations are expected and a purely textile reinforcement is not enough. The rods are flexible, so they can be bent a little, but always spring back to their almost straight form. A permanent bend such as with iron rods is not possible. An angle grinder is suitable for cutting. Since the material has the same density as concrete, the rods can be easily placed in position during concreting and remain there without floating or descending.

The rod has a length of 1.10 m, a diameter of 8 mm and a tensile strength of > 20 kN. The material consists of basalt fibres and a synthetic resin binder. The surface is sanded, which ensures a particularly good bond with the concrete.
