DECORINO® is our snow-white premium moulding compound for the ultimate in crafting fun. Super-simple to use, completely safe for skin contact and can be removed from the mould after just 20 minutes. The mouldings achieve extremely high strength and are easy to sand, drill and machine.
As DECORINO is based on plaster, its use is somewhat restricted for objects that are set up outdoors. It can be used in roofed outdoor areas after the surface has been given a suitable finish. In case of doubt, we recommend using our cement-based casting compounds, which are fully suitable for outdoor use.
The preparation of DECORINO is extremely simple. The powder and water are mixed together in a ratio of 4:1 in weight, i.e. four parts DECORINO to one part water, until a uniform liquid is obtained. It is immediately poured into the mould and after 20 minutes the casting can be removed from the mould. It is better to leave particularly delicate parts in the mould a little longer so that they do not break during demoulding.
Compared to our concrete casting compounds, mixing is child's play because much less force is required. And because DECORINO is extremely fluid after mixing, there are virtually no air pockets during casting. 1 kg of powder produces a casting volume of 0.65 litres. A volume of 1 litre requires approx. 1.6 kg of powder.
