This black chippings consists of crushed basalt rock with a grain size of 2 - 5 mm. It is used in the production of high strength and ultra high strength concrete. It is particularly suitable for concrete based on our special cements FLOWSTONE® and TEGNO®. Our formula proposal for ultra high strength concrete (UHPC): 840 g basalt chippings 2 - 5 mm + 410 g basalt sand 0.5 - 2 mm + 1 kg TEGNO® + 13 g superplasticizer FLUP®-PCE-375 + 160 g water. The indicated amount of water is valid for air-dry grains. If earth-moist aggregate is used, the water quantity must be reduced accordingly.
